Flippique
A private flipbook maker for Windows and Mac. The book is made on your own computer, and what you keep is a file.
What this one is
Flippique is a desktop app I designed and built at Nebula Digital, in Malta. It is our own product.
It makes flipbooks. You bring in images or a PDF, put the pages in order, and save a book with real page turns. It runs on Windows and on Mac, macOS 11 and later.
What you actually get
The book is one HTML file. It opens offline in any browser, so the person reading it does not need the app, an account, or a connection. You can email the file, put it on your own website, or hand it over on a USB stick.
Nothing about the book has to stay on a platform you keep paying for. The pages stay on the computer where the book was made.
Online once, then offline
Flippique needs the internet once, to register the licence key. After that it works offline. The flipbooks it creates do not connect to anything at all.
How it’s sold
There is a free plan. Paid plans start from €49 a year, plus VAT. Payments go through Creem.
Being straight about this one
I have deliberately not put a download number on this page. Flippique is our own product, so a figure I quoted here would be me marking my own homework.
What I can do is point you at it. The site is live, the app is what that site describes, and it runs on Windows and on Mac.
